STOCKTON HOCKEY CLUB- SUMMER LEAGUE

TUESDAY EVENINGS

As a club, we are aiming to run a summer league on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer term (2nd May to 4th July)- the aim is to get everyone in the club down playing hockey on a regular basis mixing abilities, genders and age groups.

The Plan

The dates will be added to Teamo inviting players to make themselves available for each week- If you want to play you need to sign up by the Sunday Evening 7pm preceding that week's games (no sign up/no play).

From the players available, Gary Ferguson will sort teams and post these on Teamo by close of play on that same Sunday evening.

Games would be played across 2 sessions (All Games will be 25 Minutes Each Way)

Session 1- 6pm Meet 6.20pm Start

Session 2- 7.30pm Meet 7.50pm Start

Teams are 7 aside (ideally in squads of 9 or 10- and ideally would be a mix of Senior Men/Women from different teams (1st to 5th team) and Junior boys/girls (again from a mix of different teams).

Gary Ferguson will collect all the results but points would be allocated to an individual rather than a team- this therefore doesn't rely on everyone being available every week).

If a player wins they get 5 points, if a player draws they get 3 and if a player gets beat they get 1 point. The more games you play the more chances you have to win points. The teams would change week on week giving everyone a chance to win a game.

We would have separate competitions/prizes for each age group category based on how many points a player builds up over the 11 weeks- age categories would be...

Junior Boy- U13 & Junior Girl- U13

Junior Boy- U18 & Junior Girl- U18

Senior Man & Senior Lady

Senior Man- Over 40 & Senior Lady- Over 40

Costs Games are £5 per game-charged the usual way through Teamo!
