Stockton came flying out of the blocks, putting immediate pressure on the visitors and refusing to give them time or space to settle. Pressing high and forcing mistakes deep in their opponent’s half, Stockton created several early chances, narrowly missing before Sean Wilson opened his account to set the tone for the game.

The first-half dominance continued after the breakthrough, with Stockton’s relentless pressure leading to more opportunities and goals.

After a focused team talk at halftime, Stockton resumed play with sharp passing and confident build-up from the back. The goals kept coming, while Jesmond managed to grab two consolation efforts on the break.

Ultimately, Stockton’s intensity and teamwork proved too much, sealing a fantastic return to form with a commanding 8–2 victory.
