End of Season Social

After a very good season and finishing a respectable fourth in the league the 4th team got together for a couple of social events. Firstly they planned to play a round of football golf but unfortunately the wet weather meant this had to be cancelled. Fortunately with the help of Dave Yule they managed to get hold of the hockey pitch at Egglescliffe so enjoyed a good competitive match with the help of a few guest players to make up the numbers. The white team narrowly won 6-4. Goalscorers from both sides included Henry Silva, Chris Needham, Dennis Hooton, Ben Chilton, Matthew White. Also worth mentioning that both keepers had an excellent games making numerous saves and goal line clearances.

The second event was a meal at Uno's in Yarm. When everyone eventually turned up after going to the wrong Uno's (sorry Patrick), the good meal was enjoyed by all.

The senior players in the squad has all commented how much its been a pleasure this season playing with all of these young lads who for some of them should be moving further up the teams when next season arrives.

We would like to thanks all of the parents who have supported the team including driving players to away venues.

Finally a big thank you to Chris Needham who, as manager, has done an excellent job including making sure we had a full team each week and doing all the other organising jobs such as finding umpires etc. We all look forward to working with him next season.
